If a unique culinary adventure is what you're after, Scottsdale and Sedona are two cities sure to please your palate. Both cities offer numerous highly acclaimed fine and casual dining options. Many of these restaurants have been rated among the best in Arizona. Whether you are looking for French, Italian, Mexican, classic American, health food, cowboy or Southwestern; creekside, patio or elegant surroundings, everyone who visits Scottsdale and Sedona will experience culinary delights they will always remember.

Some of Sedona's most unique restaurants offer breathtaking views of the surrounding red rock. The AAA Four Diamond rated Yavapai Restaurant at the Enchantment Resort is a fine dining experience set in Boynton Canyon, where massive windows provide a 180-degree view. Breakfast seekers can find 101 different varieties of omelettes at the Coffee Pot Restaurant, and adventure-seekers can enjoy a meal while watching streamlined Lear jets take off and land at the Sedona Airport Restaurant. You won't find many of the usual fast food joints either -- and when you do, they won't have their traditional flashy logos or signs. Be sure to check out the lone McDonalds in Sedona, the only restaurant of its kind with turquoise arches.

Scottsdale's dining options can be broken down into three geographic regions, Downtown Scottsdale, Central Scottsdale, and North Scottsdale. Downtown Scottsdale is the historic heart and soul of the city, where Old Town's authentic Western saloons sit side by side with more modern fare, including sophisticated sushi shops and trendy tapas bars. Downtown is also home to the new Waterfront and Southbridge projects, where only locally-owned restaurants are allowed to reside. Central Scottsdale is where you'll find resort dining and food-filled shopping centers such as The Shops at Gainey Village. North Scottsdale is quickly becoming a hot-spot for visitors seeking a unique dining experience. From the varied eateries at Kierland Commons to the newest hot pocket, Market Street at DC Ranch, you can sample everything from a simple grilled cheese sandwich at a classic sundry shop to French delicacies such as foie gras and pate maison.
